On Nov. 2nd the Kentucky & Southern Indiana Group hosted an educational event in the Stakes Room at Churchill Downs. Emmett Wright and Brad Bauer spoke to approximately 100 guests. Wright, Chief Investment Officer of the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company, discussed investment strategies in light of the current economic and market conditions. Bauer, former Director of Advanced Planning with Northwestern Mutual, presented his insight on the new estate-tax exemption and buy-sell agreements. Northwestern Mutual hosted a speaker series with Steve Forbes and Northwestern Mutual chairman and CEO John Schlifske. The three day tour included panel discussions in Louisville, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Houston and Dallas, and saw nearly 4,000 attendees in total. In each city, Steve and John discussed the economy, the markets and how individuals and business owners can rebuild their financial foundation.
